i get to choose my own present

The husband told me to pick what I want for Christmas and get it. He said it is better that way so I know for sure I will like my present. We have had experiences of giving presents that were not really appreciated because the receiver did not like what was given. So to avoid that, he told me to get what I want and consider it his present for me. Not really very romantic but I actually like it because then I get to choose what I want to have without feeling guilty over spending money. The financier has given his approval. The only problem is, I don't really know what to get. I have had things I wanted to buy in the past and they are still in my list but I could not pick one from them. It just doesn't seem right. He told me to decide quick because we are only a few days away from Christmas. I hope to have decided before then. If not, no worries. After all, the day after Christmas is my birthday. I am sure he will not take the offer away :)
